Optometrist

OptometristOptometrists are responsible for making sure that people see clearly and without any problems. They must be able to examine patients, diagnose them for vision-related illnesses such as glaucoma or cataracts and write prescriptions for eyewear and contact lenses.

Many optometrists have their own practice while others may be employed by hospitals, clinics or eyewear chains.

Not only should an optometrist be able to diagnose and treat patients, but they should be well-equipped to provide prescriptions and proper eye care advice to them.
