A dentist is responsible for examining, diagnosing and treating a patient’s teeth, gums and mouth tissue for disease and injuries.
Depending on their preference, dentists can work in their own office as General Practitioners or work as part of a larger dental group in specialized areas of study as an Orthodontist, Endodontist, Oral Pathologist, Oral Surgeon, Pedontist, Periodontist, Prosthodontist or Public Health Dentist.
Regardless of their type of dental practice, they must know how to treat a wide variety of dental needs by using a variety of technologically advanced dental equipment.
