Life Insurance Company Offers New Career Website

New York Life Insurance Company has opened a new careers website for individuals who want to learn more about careers in life insurance and financial services.

The site features:

  • Content about careers in life insurance
  • Financial services for job seekers of all levels, including management
  • Information about the company
  • Vareer options
  • Benefits training seminars and training
  • Brief questionnaire to help visitors assess their interest in a sales position

New York Life says it hired 3,300 people in 2010, concentrating on agents who plan to work in specific ethnic communities and recent college graduates. Their goal in 2011 is to increase its agent force by another 3,500.

“Through real-life stories on this website, jobseekers will hear from New York Life’s agents and field managers about the benefits of a career with New York Life,” says New York Life EVP in charge of U.S. Life Insurance and Agency Mark Pfaff in a statement. “Our recruiting goal for 2011 is to hire more than 3,500 agents, with continued focus on young professionals, ethnic communities, and recent college graduates. We are also making a special effort to hire more women agents.”
